Dr Matthew Lenaghan features in new STEP webinar on the human factor in AI

Dr Matthew Lenaghan has featured in a newly published Q&A webinar produced by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ Artificial Intelligence Special Interest Group (STEP AI SIG).

The webinar, Practical AI for the modern practitioner – Session 2: The human factor, considers the important psychological factors underlying the use of artificial intelligence in legal and professional practice.

As AI tools become increasingly integrated into professional work, their responsible use is not solely a technical matter. Human judgement remains central to how questions are framed, outputs are interpreted and information is tested and applied. The session highlights the need for practitioners to understand how human assumptions, cognitive processes and patterns of reliance can influence their interaction with AI.

Matthew’s combined background in medicine, psychiatry, psychology and law gives him a distinctive perspective on the relationship between human decision-making and emerging technology. His contribution reflects RMW Law’s commitment to engaging thoughtfully with technological developments while preserving professional judgement, accountability and the highest standards of client care.
