About RMW Law LLP

Discretion, quality, and collaboration

RMW Law LLP was founded in 2011 by John Riches and Samantha Morgan, after many years working together at the international law firm Withers LLP. Their goal was to create a specialist practice focused solely on private client work, with an emphasis on discretion, quality and collaboration.

In 2021, they were joined by Stuart Skeffington, whose career has also centred on complex private client matters. Together, the partners bring over 100 years of combined experience advising individuals, families, trustees and family offices across a wide range of jurisdictions and structures.

A small, highly focused firm

RMW Law operates as a small and highly focused firm. Clients work directly with one or more of the partners, who remain closely involved throughout each matter. This collaborative approach is central to how we work – within the firm and with clients’ wider advisory teams.

We are frequently asked to lead or support long-term estate and tax planning projects. Our work also includes the design of bespoke governance structures for families with active businesses or multi-generational holdings, often involving trusts, foundations or fiduciary arrangements.

A reputation built on trust

Much of our work comes through personal introduction, and many client relationships are long-standing. We do not advertise or market. Instead, we maintain a clear focus on delivering carefully considered advice and strategic support.

RMW Law has developed a strong reputation in both domestic and international private client work.

Continuing connections and wider contribution

In addition to their roles at RMW Law, John, Samantha and Stuart each remain active within the profession. They regularly speak at international conferences, contribute to policy and technical work, and maintain strong relationships with professional bodies.

The partners also continue as consultants in the private client team at Withers LLP in London, allowing them to retain and build on relationships formed throughout their earlier careers.
